Heart Main Street & Pet Wants Microchipping Event

About this event

Join the Humane Society of Greater Dayton for a pop-up microchipping event offering free microchips for dogs and cats! No tickets or advance registration are required.

Pet Wants will be on-site with special offerings, and Heart – Main Street will feature pet supplies, with a portion of proceeds benefiting animals.

Before each procedure, HSGD staff will scan pets for existing microchips. Pets without a chip will receive one free of charge, and owners will receive a QR code and instructions for registering their pet’s new microchip. If a pet already has a chip, owners will receive the chip number and information on how to register it.

The microchipping procedure takes about 10 seconds per pet, with a little additional time for registration information. Stop by to help keep your pets safe and improve the chances of reuniting with them if they ever get lost!
